We (Chris, his dad, me, Keely and Kai) were driving home from my first 5K race (yay!) this morning. Chris and his dad were in the front, I was in the seat behind Chris and Keely and Kai were in the back seat of my van.

Kai: Mommy, I have germs in me.

I turned around to see what he meant and he was looking very intently at his fingernails.

Kai: I have germs in me.
Me: You mean, under your fingernails?
Kai: Yes.
