Keely came into our bedroom this morning after getting up. I was excited that my mother will be in town tomorrow and I was telling Keely. She said, "I can't believe your mom is still alive."

Keely does not have our phone numbers memorized. Yesterday, she called her friend, Anaise, and she picked up the phone and dialed. She knew Anaise's phone number but not her home number or our cell phone numbers! Keely asked for a playdate for today and I said, "You may not have another play date until you memorize at least MY cell phone number." She stomped away with a frown.

This morning I was helping her practice my number. She said, "Why can't I have a different punishment?!"

Keely came down the stairs tonight.
Keely: Mommy, Kai just closed the door on Keegan in their room and the lights were out.
Me: Kai, don't close anymore doors upstairs.
Kai: I was just seeing if he liked it.
I was driving Keely and Kai to camp yesterday and I put on some Chapstick Medicated (LOVE the stuff.) Keegan saw me and he wanted some, too. Finally, Kai asked for some. He said, "Mommy, I need lick stick. Can I have some lick stick?"

Kai also says "coporn" for "popcorn."

As I was on my way to Frying Pan Park to take Keely and Kai to their day camps (approx 30 min drive), Keely said, "Mommy, do you know what I do when I'm bored in the car and don't have anything to do?"
Me: Read a book?
Keely: Noooo, I said when I'm bored and don't have ANYTHING to do!
Me: Uhmmm, I give up.
Keely: I look at the people driving in their cars and I try to figure out where they are driving. Maybe they are going to work or the store...
Kai: Or go at Wal-Mart!

Kai was on a roll tonight....
He came downstairs naked so I could help him put on his pajamas (after he stood at the top of the stairs to talk to me.)
Kai asked for Chris' "weenus" (penis)
Chris: No.
Kai: You have a weenus.
Chris: No I don't.
Kai: You have a big weenus.
Chris: No I don't.
Kai: Then you are a girl
Chris: Mommy took my weenus and put it in her purse.
Kai: Now her gonna put it on. And now her gonna be a boy.
We have a mouse in the house. He hangs around mostly in the kitchen but we've found remnants of him in the tv room. Kai is very concerned about the mouse and has been talking about him a lot tonight. He stood at the top of the stairs with his pajamas to talk to me.
Kai: Mommy, I wish the mouse is not in my butt. And when I go to sleep, the mouse will get on me. And when I am in bed and I yell for you, you need to come, okay?
I showed Kai a picture of my mother and siblings from the late 70s. I asked him if he knew who the people in the picture were.
Kai: I don't know them names.
Me: (pointing to my mother) That's Nana.
Kai: Nana
Me: (pointing to my sister) That's Aunt Lana.
Kai: Aunt Lana
Me: (pointing to my brother) That's Uncle DJ.
Kai: Uncle DJ
Me: (pointing to my sister) That's Aunt Lis.
Kai: Aunt Lis
Me: (pointing to me) And that's MOMMY!
Kai: But you are a kid. And those are kids.
Me: Well, I was a kid one time.
Kai: But I don't WANT you to be a kid, Mommy!

What is it with boys and guns??

I was trying to corral Kai and Keegan into the TV room and I said, "C'mon, let's go in the other room. KJ will be home soon."
Kai said, "And when her come in, I will shot her."
MAJOR breakthrough today... Kai went to a day camp at Frying Pan Park called "All About Animals" and he didn't cry AT ALL when we left. I picked him up 4 hours later and he said he even WANTED to go back tomorrow!! I'm just blown away... seriously. I asked him what he did and he said, "We saw a pig and a cow and sheeps and a long, long, loooong bird."
Me: A peacock?
Kai: Yes. And it had LOTS of eyes.

While getting out of the car at Costco, I stumbled over my flip flop.
Kai: Are you okay, Mommy?
Me: Yes, I'm okay.
Kai: Mommy, when I was your age I was gonna do that.
While on our way back from GA last week, we found some Big Red, Big Blue, Big Peach, Big Orange and some Big Pineapple. I LOVE Big Red so this was an awesome find! Today we opened the Big Blue, which to me, tastes like Big Red only colored blue. Kai came into my room and said, with a big, goofy smile, "Mommy, Big Blue tastes like bugs and pee and poop. And when you drink it, it makes you want to scream."

I said, "Who told you to say that?"
Kai answered, "Daddy. And KJ (Keely)."

This morning, the kids and I went to the Lorton "Pirate's Cove" waterpark with some friends of ours. When we got home (around 3 pm), Kai had fallen asleep and I was able to carry him upstairs and lay him down. While he was knocked out, Keegan (who I had HOPED would fall asleep on the way home) stayed up and watched some tv with Turtle. He came into the living room where I was and began looking at a book about trucks that was in the chair next to me. A few minutes went by and I heard a horrific tooting, almost explosion sound come from his rear end. Keegan looked at me and I looked at him. He put his right hand around on his bottom and still looking at me, he said, "Uh oh."

So, "Uh oh" seemed to be somewhat of an understatement to me.

Here is some of the number 8 Blue Song... although, it does seem to end badly.
Kai: Mommy? You want me to sing to you?
Me: Yes!
Kai: What do you want me to sing? The red song, the pink song, the blue song, the green song..
Me: The blue song
Kai: Which one?
Me: Uh, how many are there?
Kai: (counting on his fingers) 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8
Me: 8
All of Kai's songs start with "I knoooooow what to do..." and this number 8 blue song was no different.

Keegan LOVES hats. When Grandmother got home this afternoon, he was quick to grab the hat she had on and put it on his head. When he wants a hat on, he says "hat" while patting the top of his head.
We are packing for our road trip to GA today and I asked Keely 4 billion times to clean her room. Chris kept giving her things to "put in her bag" (ie: DS stylus', workbooks, car charger) and I said to Chris in a whisper, "Please stop giving her stuff... she needs to clean her room." Keely was standing right there and she said, "Mommy, I can HEAR you... I have ears like a hawk... I think."
Keegan LOVES to pull around Keely's suitcase. This morning, it was sitting at the top of the stairs and Keegan brought it down to pull it around the house!

Keely's grandmother has been under the weather these past couple of days. When she came  home from work today, Keely said, "How are you feeling, Grandma?"
Grandmother: I'm feeling a little bit better.
Keely: Oh good. I didn't want you to get really sick and die. Then I would have to go into  your room and get that book (Hannah Montana book in the "surprise" bin when the kids get rewarded.) I didn't want to have to do that.

Unless I lock the bathroom door, I don't expect to have any privacy using the toilet with 3 kids in the house. Usually, it's Kai who is the curious one. This morning, he came into the bathroom where I was and said, "Mommy, what are you doing?"
I said, "I'm going poo-poo."
Kai asked, "Pee-pee and poo-poo?"
I answered, "Yes."
Kai's eyes got super big and he said, "Pee-pee AND poo-poo? Mommy! That's just what I do!!"
For the 5th of July we had a big dinner and had Grandpa's brother, Uncle Junior, over to eat. Out of the blue, Keely yells from the tv room, "Oh my gosh! I just realized that Mommy is the only white person here!"

Chris took the kids to VBS tonight because I was out-o-commission for the day (no more babies for me.) When they got home, Kai's grandmother asked Kai, "Were you a good boy tonight?"
Kai said, "Yes."
Grandmother asked, "Did you cry at church tonight?"
Kai answered, "Did you hear me cry?"
She said, "No."
Kai said, "Well, that's because I didn't cry."
